An efficient sequence in the golf swing allows for a good transfer of energy from the ground, through the player and into the grip of the club. When done well, the player will feel a tremendous amount of power, but with very little effort.

Stretch Shortening Cycles (SSC) are a part of the equation when it comes to producing force, speed and ultimately distance in a great sequence.

There are 3 main SSC’s but in this video we’re going to look at the first one called the X-Factor Stretch which happens in transition between the torso and the pelvis.

We’ll firstly look at what a SSC is and then work through a drill that you can practice from anywhere.

This drill will help build in a feeling of this separation in transition that you can slowly work into your swing over time.

I hope you find the video helpful and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out 👊
